Dog Christmas Stockings On an off the cuff remark we decided to make dog (& cat) Christmas stockings. Commercially produced dog stockings are contain treats made with artifical colours, preservatives and flavours. We decided to produce our own stockings which contain good quality dog toys (which are particularly suitable for training) as well as home baked treats, good quality commercial dog treats (great fo stuffing Kongs with) & tripe sticks. Dog toys varied but included an extra-tough tennis balls (in small, regular & giant sizes), and a Dr Noys squeaker toy. We thought we'd probably make about 15 through orders but we made over 100! We had great feedback from all those who took them and are bracing ourselves for orders for Christmas 2008.
Some of the entries.... Just a small selection of the entries: I have a little dog she really is a honey and when she's being naughty she really can be funny she drinks her water from the pond then runs around for hours when i try to garden she pulls up all the flowers she runs off with the flower pots then barks for me to play it makes my neighbour very cross then there's hell to pay I take her to the local school (dog training you understand) sometimes she's good, sometimes she's not it doesn't always go as planned she loves to play with the other dogs she thinks the more the merrier this is Bonnie, my little dog my westie, my white terrier
Why I love my dog by Megan Wright I wished for him every night and when I got him he was just right I love my dog he's much better than cleaning the bog He's so sweet he loves his raw meat Running around like a loony wagging his tail giving us a moony when he chases his ball he thinks he's really cool He sleeps in his bed every night until the morning is light we will be forever friends.... I love you Milo
