Adult Dogs
Most people with a dog over 5 months want to come to training for a specific purpose or problem. You may have problems with recall, a dog which ignores you when there are other dogs around or tows on lead (or any combination of these and many more problem areas!). With this in mind, we offer a 1-1 consultation where we can spend time with you to sort out behavioural problems from training problems. We then implement a programme of work with you to resolve the behavioural problems, before starting on the training problems with you. Training may take place in a class situation, or in a 1-1 or small group depending on any problem areas that the dog has. How about training an unruly beast? We run a small class for our special 'unruly beasts'! This is our troubleshooting class where we work through topics such as building self control, dog walking skills and social skills. These topics have a number of individual tasks which we spend as much time on as necessary; this class aims to be altered to each individual dog and handler's needs rather than based around specific content. Those who wish to join this group need to have completed an introductory course with us first, or have had some 1-1 clicker training. What other training can I go onto? We run a number of higher levels of classes: Novice then Graduate and finally Top Class. If you have a previously conventionally trained dog we can work with you to get you clicker training and then fit you into an appropriate class.

We welcome dogs of any age, but define any dog over the age of approx 5 months as a young/adult dog since this is when pups begin to change from their puppy teeth to their adult teeth.
